We’ll meet at our hotel for check-in and some time to relax. Later, everyone gathers for a welcome dinner and trip briefing, setting the stage for our adventure ahead!

Northern Vietnam Adventure

Start your Northern Vietnam motorcycle tour with a hotel pickup and itinerary briefing in Hanoi. Ride out of the city, exploring off-road paths on the way to Hoa Binh for lunch. Continue through stunning limestone mountains to reach a charming Thai village in Mai Chau, where you’ll stay in a traditional stilt house and enjoy a warm dinner with the local villagers.

Scenic Village Ride

If you’re looking for a scenic motorcycle tour in Vietnam, today’s ride is perfect. After departing from our stay in Mai Chau, we’ll begin a journey through picturesque villages of the Thai people, climbing higher into northern Vietnam. The day offers plenty of opportunities to capture the stunning landscape and meet the friendly locals of this region. We’ll end our ride at a hotel in Phu Yen around 4:30 pm, wrapping up an incredible day of exploration.

Ta Xua Mountains & Nghia Lo Valley Adventure

This day is bound to be a highlight of our motorbike tour in North Vietnam, especially for those who love adventure. We’ll ride mostly on twisty, scenic mountain roads, with stunning views of green, mist-covered peaks, particularly around Ta Xua Mountain. After crossing Ta Xua’s dramatic dinosaur spine, we’ll continue our journey north, eventually arriving in the beautiful Nghia Lo valley. Our day will end at a charming farm, where we’ll stay with a local Thai family, immersing ourselves in the warmth of their hospitality.

Terraced Rice Fields & Mountain Roads

Today’s ride takes you through the heart of Northern Vietnam to the breathtaking region of Mu Cang Chai. Travel along winding mountain roads, passing lush valleys and terraced rice fields that ripple across the hillsides like green waves. Stop at a scenic mountain summit for a tea break, enjoy panoramic views, and capture the beauty of the countryside. As you descend, the iconic rice terraces of Mu Cang Chai unfold, providing perfect photo opportunities and a chance for quiet reflection. End the day at your hotel, surrounded by the peaceful and stunning landscapes of this remarkable region.

O Quy Ho Pass & Arrival in Sapa

Today’s ride is a relaxed journey along smooth, winding roads, with optional adventurous routes for those seeking a challenge. Ascend the stunning O Quy Ho Pass, one of North Vietnam’s most beautiful mountain passes, reaching around 2,000 meters above sea level. Pause at the summit to take in panoramic views before descending to Sapa, a vibrant mountain town known for its charm and scenic surroundings. This short yet rewarding route offers spectacular sights and a chance to explore Sapa in the evening, staying overnight in a comfortable hotel.

Relax & Explore Sapa

After 5 days riding, Sapa is an ideal place to spend an easy day here. It’s a small town located on the Hoang Lien Mountain ranges, with the height of around 1600m above the sea level and surrounded by some breathtaking valleys and beautiful villages of the hill tribes so there’s many interesting things to do in Sapa. If you’d like to ride more, the guide team of Chi can also offer a nice motorcycle ride through some remote villages nearby Sapa to see the rice terraces or visiting 4 different ethnic people in Sapa.

Terrace Fields & Hill Tribe VillagesHighlights:

After leaving Sapa around 8:30 am, ride along the other side of the Hoang Lien Mountain range, enjoying scenic terrace rice fields and smooth roads near the Chinese border. Pass through rustic villages and continue ascending to Bac Ha District, where you can take an off-road detour through coin and plum plantations and explore H’Mong villages. Arrive in Bao Yen by 4:00 pm and check in to a standard hotel for the night.

Wild Landscapes & Terraced Views

This motorcycle ride to Hoang Su Phi today gives you a completely different taste of riding views of nature. It offers a more wild and green nature. In addition, the ride via Hoang Su Phi could give you one of the best views of rice terraces if you come at the right time, it will surely make you feel worthy to be here with the motorbikes. This could be the highlight of this motorbike tour in North Vietnam. We’ll arrive Hoang Su Phi at around 5:00 pm and stay at the hotel.

Green Highlands & Village Life

Leaving the stunning rock plateau of Ha Giang, we journey east to Cao Bang – another gem of Northern Vietnam. Unlike Ha Giang’s rugged peaks, Cao Bang offers greener, lower mountains dotted with ethnic villages and vibrant local life. Known as the ‘High Plateau,’ this beautiful land lies in the far northeastern highlands, right next to China.
